Testronic’s debut partnership with Extra Life, the gaming community’s fundraising program for local children’s hospitals, was a smashing success. Led by members of the New Orleans team and culminating in a 24-hour gameathon streamed live on Twitch, Testronic was able to raise $3,566 for Children’s Hospital New Orleans.

Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. This not-for-profit pediatric medical center is Louisiana’s largest full-service hospital for children in the region. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $87 million USD for sick and injured kids.
Testronic’s Sean Shimoda said: “The Extra Life program is a fantastic initiative, and we are proud that Testronic New Orleans was able to support this great charity. The 24-hour gaming stream was led entirely by members of the New Orleans team, and generated over $1,700 in donations. Testronic, as a company, graciously matched that donation amount. It was a no-brainer given that Children’s Hospital New Orleans plays such a vital role in caring for our local children and young adults.”
The Testronic New Orleans studio has worked hard from its foundation to collaborate with the local community, such as working with early careers groups to encourage young people to consider a career in games QA and Localization. Testronic will continue to take part in charity initiatives going forward and support local communities around the world.
