Delivering QA in Multiplayer Football

Rematch

Sloclap, the Paris-based team behind stylish, skill-driven action games, returned in 2025 with Rematch – a bold fusion of martial arts energy and competitive football.

Challenge

Published by Kepler Interactive, the title delivers fast-paced multiplayer football matches where precision, timing, and teamwork are everything – which required deep FQA that went way beyond feature-testing.  A breakout success, Rematch sold over one million copies and drew 2.5 million unique players in its first weekend, earning praise for rapid gameplay, expressive movement, and stylish presentation.

Building on a strong partnership, Testronic collaborated with Soclap on Rematch, from Alpha through to launch and into live service – ensuring consistent quality, while helping to refine the user experience through iterative, player-focussed insights.

Rematch demanded a distinct QA approach. Its breakneck pace and competitive nature meant traditional testing had to be reinforced with real football and gameplay instincts. The team provided continuous feedback, capturing usability pain points and surfacing impactful quality-of-life improvements alongside critical bug reporting.

With evolving development needs and post-launch scaling, FQA processes had to remain highly adaptable. As content grew, the project expanded across platforms and required rapid onboarding to new workflows. Close collaboration, transparent communication, and dynamic resource management were critical to sustaining development velocity and supporting live operations.

By maintaining open channels across QA, production, and design, Testronic helped anticipate challenges before they impacted schedules. Expertise and capacity were also reallocated in real time to meet the evolving demands of the project.

Solution & Impact

Testronic established a collaborative, player-centric QA framework, combining practical gameplay experience with functionality testing. Testers immersed themselves both casually and competitively. They delivered usability feedback rooted in real-world football play that led to improvements in flow, responsiveness, and match quality.

Open, multi-directional communication was central to the partnership. Reporting went beyond bug logs, offering functional summaries, sprint insights, data-driven observations, and trend analysis. These findings helped Sloclap track technical health while improving player experience.

As the game shifted direction post-launch, Testronic scaled rapidly, doubling team  size. Expansion from PC-only to full multi-platform testing was completed without disruption, maintaining consistency across configurations.

This flexibility enabled Sloclap to stay focussed on development while Testronic supported rapid iteration and ensured that every update enhanced the multiplayer experience.

Throughout the project, Sloclap highlighted Testronic’s adaptability, responsiveness, and professionalism, particularly during periods of restructuring and scaling. As the title continues to evolve, Testronic remains a steady QA partner, supporting long-term live service success.
