Network Testing
Networked applications have an additional range of functions that require special attention during the QA process.
Testronic Labs has a specific set of functionality testing scripts covering the communication between networked components, central data logging and sharing, user management, log-ins and access restrictions.
In addition to work station compatibility, individual network types and configurations are tested to ensure consistent behaviour. Testronic Labs maintains a series of dedicated testing networks for this purpose alone. These include today's common environments such as Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008, Linux, Novell and specialist networks such as RM networks for educational publishing.
Performance of the application on different networks can also be monitored using realistic use cases versus boundary situations and gradual loading of the local network set-up.
