Ieee1394 Certification


Testronic Labs is the first lab in the world to deliver both USB-IF and 1394TA certification. The 1394TA qualification, approved by founding members, enables us to perform tests on a number of specific product types including mass storage devices, computer hosts and image devices.

So how does it work? Here is our guide to the compliance process:

  • We can test your products in line with 1394TA certification requirements. Once your product has tested successfully, the appropriate paperwork is sent to the 1394TA to register the product for the 1394 compliance logo licence.
  • In order to register the product, the 1394 Trade Association must have a valid logo licence agreement on file.
  • The Association only requires the submission of a result form and not the test results themselves but they may request access to the results or logs at a future time. Please consult the logo licence agreement for details.
  • Once the result form has been submitted to the Association, a review takes place and the submitting company is notified that they may or may not begin using the compliant logo for the requested product.
  • If for some reason the result form is rejected, the Association will provide an explanation and allow the company to make the necessary changes and resubmit.
  • If you do not submit a result form for a period defined by the logo licence agreement, you must submit a new logo licence agreement.
