A family of approximately 120 test cases for functionality testing on tuning, software upgrade, decoding, installation, application, conditional access, content protection, audio and video components, teletext. Usability and robustness testing is included where relevant.

DVB Program Specific Information (PSI) / Service Information (SI) functionality package:

A family of approximately 110 test cases for functionality testing on sorting, service list, Logical Channel Number (LCN), favourites, Dynamic Channel Management (DCM), Program Map Table (PMT) Update, Bouquet Association Table (BAT), Service Description Table (SDT), Time and Date Table (TDT), Time Offset Table (TOT), Event Information Table (EIT), Parental Rating.

Furthermore, if desired, we can explore more customised test solutions for series recording and test automation in general.

Interconnectivity functionality and interoperability packages:

These include service packages for USB (possibly tailored to certain use cases and class support such as mass storage and recording), HDMI, serial ATA and external serial ATA, Ethernet and WiFi.

In Home Networking functionality and interoperability packages:

These include UPnP use cases and DLNA use cases.

Acceptance testing

Testronic Labs can help you define the right test requirements and test cases. We can then implement test cases tailored to a given network specification to support the acceptance of IRD hardware and software. Naturally Testronic Labs can not only define and setup, but also execute and manage the acceptance test cycles.

Maintenance testing

When a component is introduced to the digital television network or changes take place that may affect the operation of the digital TV receivers in the network, Testronic Labs can define and execute proper maintenance test cycles.

Test Program development

When there is a high requirement for ongoing for testing, it may make sense for Testronic Labs to propose a conformance or certification program for the IRD software or hardware tailored to your requirements. The conformance or certification tests can be performed as a pre-condition to the clients already established quality processes - or integrated into the clients main quality strategy.
