Test Plans
Test plans are essential to testing methodology. In essence, the test plan should arise naturally from a previously determined test strategy and can be developed at any level. Test plans help create a step by step approach for all levels of testing and can be created for:
- An entire project
- A specific test level (eg system test)
- A specific test target (eg usability tests)
In order to ensure optimal coverage, to track progress and to enable good management disclosure, we work through a system of test scripts. Whilst some clients provide their own test scripts, the vast majority of test scripts are created by our testing experts.
Based on the product, product documentation and project requirements, Testronic Labs creates test scripts according to IEEE-829 standards using a mixture of generic and custom scripts. Test scripts are created as part of the overall test plan and are linked one by one to specific product or project requirements.
We maintain a series of tools to manage test scripts and a variety of potential testing scenarios. They can be delivered to our clients as static documents, as input for the client's test management tool, or can be integrated into Testronic Labs' in-house testing tools.
