Testronic Labs, independent global Quality Assurance expert, has been accepted to join industry working group the Open IPTV Forum (OIPF). TL is lending its support to this standards-setting initiative which exists to provide a "plug and play" experience to the end-consumer of IPTV. As one of the world's leading test houses for hardware quality assurance and certification of multimedia equipment and interfaces, TL will contribute to the OIPF on matters of certification and testing - consolidating our position as thought-leaders in the digital television space and leveraging a pedigree in the setup of certification programmes in the computer hardware and mobile phone technology spaces.

The Open IPTV Forum e.V., created in March 2007, is a pan-industry initiative with the purpose of producing end to end specifications for IPTV that will take the next gene
rationof IPTV to the mass market. The forum is fully open to participation across thecommunications and entertainment industries, and its founder members are: Ericsson, France Telecom, Nokia Siemens, Panasonic Corporation, Philips, Samsung Electronics, Sony Corporation, and Telecom Italia.
