Testronic Labs speaks at ESCA

Date published: 23 Sep 2009

ESCA Logo Testronic Labs, global multimedia quality assurance and localisation specialist, is delighted to announce that Seth Hallen, President, Testronic Labs US, is to speak at the entertainment industry's European Retailing & Supply Chain Management conference in London.

The event, taking place on 23rd-24th September, will see Hallen join a group of industry experts on Blu-ray technology to discuss The Lifecycle of the Blu-ray Project, from conception to approved disc image. Testronic Labs, which has been active in Blu-ray QA from its inception, is well positioned to contribute to the discussion. Testronic Labs' New Technology Lab in Burbank, CA, is the leading supplier of QA/QC services for the home entertainment industry (Blu-ray, DVD, digital copy, etc.), having tested over 1,500 Blu-ray SKUs for most of the major studios, amounting to over 100,000 hours of testing.

Hallen's representation of Testronic Labs at The European Supply Chain Management event reflects the company's strategy to offer truly global, comprehensive and leading edge solutions to clients' Blu-ray requirements for quality product. It follows his recent presentation to a U.S. audience at the Entertainment Supply Chain Academy in Los Angeles in June.

Hallen comments, The Blu-ray lifecycle has forced a paradigm shift in the post production industry from isolation to cooperation.  Where once each step in the process was separate, now companies who previously worked in competition with each other, now work together on separate parts of the development process.  Testronic Labs fully supports ESCA's goal of smoothing this transition to a new collaborative workflow model.

"Our Lifecycle of a Blu-ray Project session in Los Angeles last June was an industry first - a true demonstration of the collaborative spirit in Hollywood that is driving the development of new and more efficient Blu-ray workflow processes - as led by Seth Hallen and Testronic Labs," comments MESA Executive Director Martin Porter. "Testronic Labs offers a unique global view on this issue and we're looking forward to their insights and updates at Entertainment Supply Chain Academy Europe, September 23-24 in London."
