Testronic
Labs has achieved official certification testlab status for the SATA 1.4 test specification, which includes the third generation of the technology. Testronic Labs is proud to welcome SATA 1.4 into our integrated existing program of certifications which covers all previous iterations of the SATA storage connectivity standard plus USB, Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), WiMedia and Firewire.
This update to the technology is a leap forward in the all-important speed of interoperable storage devices. It now enables 6Gb/s link speeds between storage units, particularly solid-state and hard disk drives, and the host.
Having passed the requisite exams in April, the SATA Interoperability Organisation
confirmed TL’s induction into the logo programme in June. With certification operations managed out of its Diepenbeek, Belgium hub Testronic Labs is one of only four independent test labs worldwide running the SATA 1.4 logo programme, and is rarer still in offering all forms of test: Phy, RX/TX, RSG, Digital, Mechanical and System Interoperability.
With burgeoning interest in the connected living room and the interoperability of web-enabled and other consumer electronics devices, this latest development helps embed TL yet further at the heart of the digital media ecosystem – the nexus of content and device in the home.
