ISTQB and TMAP

Testronic endorses the use of best practices to help our partners achieve their goals in a safe and proven way. From several bodies of knowledge, we distill the best approach for each unique problem.

Because we recognize the importance of best practices, the Testronic staff is certified by the ISTQB®, with a minimum of Foundation Level certification. As TMap® is also officially recognized, and widely used in Belgium as one of the most common methods of software testing, the career paths at Testronic are also linked to the structure of this methodology.

• The terminology of the test roles as determined by TMap is similar to the description of the career plan at Testronic.
• The 11 TMap test functions are represented.
• Testronic’s training path is a detailed version of the general TMap approach to training.

From the Professional Level 3, Testronic employees are expected to be certified at the advanced level of ISTQB, depending upon the pillar which they find themselves – Advanced Test Analyst, Advanced Technical Test Analyst, or Advanced Test Manager.

Regarding test process improvement, both for internal processes and the service in the form of Test Process Audits, Testronic works with TMMi® and TPI® based on the specific needs of the assessment.

In the area of service management, Testronic orients itself according to ITIL®. Our own service portfolio and demand and supply processes find their basis in the principles of service management according to ITIL. In addition, consultants from Level 3 are certified in ITIL v3 at the Foundation Level.

TL Academy

As Testronic is a pure testing company, we have clearly defined test functions, career plans, and related training paths. All employees are properly trained and monitored on a recurring basis.

All staff training is provided by the Testronic Labs Academy, which was founded in the pursuit of lifelong learning. The Academy focuses on a variety of knowledge domains; including test subject matter expertise, business knowledge, IT and technical skills, and soft skills and capabilities. Many of the specified training courses are provided in-house, while other training sessions are conducted at official training centers and institutes.

The underlying idea of the Testronic Labs Academy is to expand the knowledge and skills of our consultants, while providing them with a structure and a strong view of their own development. The learning paths ensure that our consultants are more versatile, as they gain experience in different environments and at different levels of competence.
